Future Farmers of America, an organization focused on providing students with an up-close look at a wide variety of available agricultural as well as non-agricultural careers, launched its 3rd consecutive Career Success Tour during its 84th National FFA convention, held in Indianapolis. The event was limited to fifty students and for the third year in a row, all available spots were sold out.
Estes Design and Manufacturing served as the host location for the Career Success Tour. After receiving a company overview from Estes President, Larry Estes, the eager students proceeded to split into groups, each touring a various part of the Estes operation including the automated cell, 3D laser welding center, rapid prototyping department, and engineering department. The goal of the session was to educate the students on how advanced technology, such as lasers and robots, is utilized in the manufacturing process of metal components for a broad range of industries and customers.
Through its Career Success Tour at Estes Design and Manufacturing, the FFA successfully fulfilled its objective to make a difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
