Estes Design and Manufacturing received a grant from the Office of Energy Development. Estes is one of only 50 small businesses, nonprofit agencies, higher education institutions, and health care facilities awarded the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant. These grants are intended to fund and promote energy conservation projects and programs focused on reducing total energy use and cutting fossil fuel emissions. We used the grant to outfit our entire operation with high bay and office lighting units throughout our 50,000 square foot facility. The more efficient lighting will consume less than half the energy previously required to power the outdated lighting systems.
